Popular coach passes away on 36th birthday

Former Greene Central head basketball coach Kevin Hart suffered a massive heart attack on Sunday and died on his 36th birthday. Hart, who coached the Rams for two seasons (2003-04 and 2004-05), was an assistant to GC head coach Robert Browning this season. He had taken a year off to pursue business interests.
Hart's funeral service will be held in the GC gym at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, with visitation immediately following. His burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Snow Hill Cemetary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Greene Central Athletic Department, in care of James Fulghum, 140 School Drive, Snow HIll, NC, 28580.
